Display video, pictures from your Tablet on a TV using a Wireless connection.

Connecting a tablet PC to a TV using an HDMI cable will deliver the best resolution and sound experience.  However, you are dealing with a cable and the limitations of a leash.

It is possible to connect your tablet PC to your TV using a wireless connection if you have a wireless Wi-FI network already established. AND if your TV is DLNA compatible.

What is DLNA? The Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) enables sharing of digital media between devices such as computers, printers, cameras, cell phones, and other multimedia devices.

There are many TVs that come with DLNA including Televisions from Samsung (w/ AllShare), LG, Sony BRAVIA, Philips, Panasonic Viera, and Toshiba.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 tablet PC also come with AllShare pre-installed and easily connects to a Samsung TV with AllShare via your Wi-Fi network.

Additional DLNA apps that work well are iMediaShare and also UPnPlay.  These can be downloaded from Google Play, installed on your tablet, then access your DLNA server to stream video or music.  The DLNA server can be any PC on the network that has shared media files.

With a wireless connection, you are free to move about as long as you maintain a wireless connection.

Check them out, let us know about your experience.

Are there no external devices which will allow me to connect to TV?

Currently, the only video out port that tablet PCs have is a HDMI port.  And not all tablets have an HDMI port.  If the TV you want to connect to does not have a HDMI input port, then you can get a converter box that will convert the HDMI signal to a composite video signal.

Connect the tablet to the box via HDMI, then connect the box to the TV via composite video.

I have seen these types of converter boxes at Amazon, and probably at other electronic stores.
